An open bound volume and a fan of loose proof sheets on a pale marble table, lit by low afternoon daylight.

Sold by position, not by impression.

Five ways to appear in the Montlior titles. Each is finite, each is labelled, and each is made by people who have never filed for the newsroom.

02 — Branded Content Studio

Journalism's craft, on the advertiser's side of the wall.

Fifty-one writers, designers, photographers, data journalists and editors, none of whom have ever filed for Montlior News. The Studio exists so that a brand can commission work of the same standard as the journalism it sits beside, without anyone having to pretend it is journalism.

Every commission is labelled at the top of the page, carries the partner's name in the byline block, and is fact-checked by a reader who reports to the Studio's managing editor and not to the client.

How a commission runs

  1. Brief and honest answer

You tell us the argument you want made. Within five working days we tell you whether it can be made truthfully, and what it would cost to make well.

  2. Reporting

Interviews, data gathering, archive work and photography. Sources are named. Nothing is invented and nothing is paid for.

  3. Draft and check

You see a draft once, for factual correction about your own business. You do not have approval over the argument or the sources.

  4. Design and build

Set in the house types, on the house grid, to the same performance budget as a Montlior News feature.

  5. Publication and reporting

Labelled, published, promoted across owned channels, and reported on read depth and dwell rather than page views alone.

Reported features

1,600–4,000 words, original photography, six to ten weeks.

Data & visual pieces

Original analysis, published methodology, interactive or print.

Print supplements

Eight to sixty-four pages, bound into a Saturday edition.

03 — Film & Audio

Made in Meridale and Valcourt.

Studio 3, Meridale — where the podcast slate is recorded.

Two studios, a standing crew of nineteen, a grading suite, and the photographic archive of a house that has been documenting Coravia since 1962. Work is commissioned, shot, cut, graded, mixed and distributed inside the same building — which is why a fourteen-minute film takes ten weeks here rather than six months.

Film & audio formats
Format Length Lead time Distribution
Brand documentary 10–20 min 10–14 weeks Article page, app, partner channels, screening
Short film 2–5 min 6–8 weeks Feature panel, social cutdowns, newsletter
Interview series 4–8 × 12 min 12 weeks Series hub, app, summit stage
Podcast sponsorship 30s host-read 3 weeks Six titles, 240,000 weekly downloads
Bespoke audio series 6 × 25 min 16 weeks Own feed, promoted across the slate

The screening room

Forty seats beneath Montlior House, with a 4K projector and a bar that was installed in 1968 and has never been moved. Partners premiere here, usually to a room of their own guests and thirty of ours.

04 — Newsletters & Editions

Eleven titles. One sponsor each.

840,000 people have asked, in writing, to hear from a Montlior editor before eight in the morning. That is a different kind of permission from an impression, and we price and protect it accordingly: one sponsor per edition, one slot, above a rule, never inside the editorial.

Every partner receives the subscriber count, the delivered count, the unique open rate and the click-through in the same week the edition ships — measured, not modelled.

05 — Events & Summits

Two hundred people who would otherwise be unreachable.

The Chancery Hall, set for the Coravia Capital Summit.

Thirteen convenings a year, every one of them chaired by a Montlior editor and programmed by the newsroom. Partners take the room, the record, the delegate list and the film. They do not take the programme, the speakers or the questions — and that is precisely why the people you want in the room agree to come.

How we sell

There is no self-serve. Every campaign on this site was planned in a conversation with a named person at Montlior Media, and every one of them began with us establishing whether we were the right title at all.

  • Print and display are sold by position, in two-week minimum flights
  • Studio commissions are fixed-fee, quoted after the brief and before the work
  • Newsletters are sold by edition, one sponsor at a time, up to a quarter ahead
  • Summit partnerships open twelve months ahead and are rarely available inside six
  • Rate cards are issued on request and are the same for every buyer
