This site sets no cookies at all. What that means, what the browser stores anyway, and how cookies work on the Montlior titles where advertising runs.

What this site stores

Nothing. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no preference cookie and no local storage entry. Because there is nothing to consent to, there is no consent banner — a banner asking permission for nothing would be theatre.

What happens anyway

Your browser caches the stylesheet, the script and the images so that later pages load quickly. That cache is held by your browser, is cleared whenever you clear it, and is not readable by us. Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address; Google does not set a cookie for a font request.

Server logs

Requests are logged with a truncated IP address for thirty days to detect faults and abuse. A log entry is not a cookie and cannot be used to follow you between visits.

Cookies where advertising actually runs

Advertising is served on the Montlior titles, not here. On those sites:

• Advertising is delivered from first-party infrastructure. No third-party advertising cookie is set.
• Measurement tags from six approved vendors are permitted, on condition that they set no third-party cookies and add no more than two requests to the page.
• Cross-site identity graphs, fingerprinting and audience segments built from behaviour off our pages are not permitted, by any partner, at any price.
• Each title publishes its own cookie notice, and its own consent controls where local law requires them.

Managing cookies generally

Every current browser lets you block or delete cookies, per site or entirely. Blocking cookies for this site changes nothing, because there are none.
